The city is keeping students’ safety on hold. The Adams administration has yet to publicly launch a school safety hotline promised at the start of the academic year, The Post has learned. City officials previously said the tip line was slated to debut last fall, but no official launch announcement or updates had been made since an October City Council hearing.

A person close to Nikolas Cruz warned the FBI she was concerned he would “get into a school and just shoot the place up,” according to a transcript of her call to a tip line. “I know he’s—he’s going to explode,” she said.

FBI Shuts Down E-Mail Tip Line WASHINGTON, Feb. 4, 2005 The FBI has shut down part of the commercial e-mail system it uses to receive tips from, and communicate with, the public as a precautionary measure because of a security breach, CBS News has learned. The Bureau says none of the computers potentially affected were part of its overall information technology system and no sensitive information was exposed.
