Our man with the black powder on his hands tests loads for the 'new' .50-95 1876 Winchester manufactured by Uberti. One big difference between the old and new .50-95-caliber rifles is that the original Winchesters from 1879 had a rate of twist in their barrels of one turn in 60 inches. That was for the very short 300- or 312-grain .50-caliber bullets. Today’s copies of those guns, namely the Uberti version of the old Winchester Model 1876, have barrels with one turn in 48 inches. been thinking about getting one - curious to hear comments. Cimarron orders from Uberti to original specs / markings etc...in .44 black powder (blued)- while Uberti makes a non original in .45 long colt which is also color case hardened....which is better looking Im torn - BP would extend my deer season - but it would mean a whole new level of expense in powder/shot etc... I have a Win 94 in .45 colt so I have plenty of ammo Hate to sound like an indecisive pantload but Im torn as to what ends up in the cabinet -

CARACAS, Venezuela – The Venezuelan government on Friday denied any link to a businessman who was stopped at an Argentine airport carrying a suitcase filled with nearly $800,000 in cash. The Venezuelan businessman, Guido Alejandro Antonini Wilson, carried the money from Caracas to Buenos Aires on a flight chartered by the Argentine government, and the undeclared funds were seized by customs agents last weekend. “We don't have anything to do with that plane or with that trip ... nothing to do with that businessman,” Venezuelan Finance Minister Rodrigo Cabezas told reporters. The incident has shaken the Argentine government, prompted one...
