Smog Not Beneficial, EPA Concludes WASHINGTON, DC, January 7, 2003 (ENS) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has rejected an argument that ground level ozone, or smog, provides protection from harmful ultraviolet radiation, and should therefore be considered beneficial to humans.
