A Florida woman might have proof of that. Cristina Ryan told WOFL-TV that she caught a glimpse of a "baby dinosaur" running through her yard on a home security camera. Advertisement "Maybe I've watched 'Jurassic Park' too many times, but I see a raptor or other small dinosaur!" she told the TV station. People who have seen the video have various theories about what the animal may be — perhaps a bird, a lizard or a dog dragging a leash? It's more likely that whatever it was will remain a mystery.

Top loads for Popping Winter/Spring Predators and Varmints. With our big game seasons winding down, it's time to turn our attention to the predators in the later winter and the varmints in the spring. Where the strong, stiff premium bullets – with their bonded cores, monometal construction and partitioned cores – are the darlings of the big game world, the small-bore cartridges that best handle the furbearers and varmints are the opposite: maximum frangibility is a benefit. I enjoy hunting both coyotes and foxes in January and February here in New York, when the fur is prime, and both species...

Officials In Yankton Put Out Unusual Fire YANKTON, SD - Firefighters in Yankton were called to extinguish an unusual blaze that involved an apparent small animal and a smoke bomb. A resident who noticed a large hole had been dug in his yard overnight dropped a smoke bomb down the hole Sunday afternoon to scare off the varmint. The result was flames shooting from the ground. Officials believe the animal might have chewed or clawed its way through a gas line, and the smoke bomb ignited the fumes. Firefighters monitored the scene for nearly an hour until a gas company...

BOSTON - Officials in the four states where Mitt Romney has lived say the Republican presidential contender, who calls himself a lifelong hunter, never took out a license. Romney says that is because he seldom has hunted where he needed one. Questions about his hunting activities trailed Romney this past week after he remarked at a campaign stop that he has been a hunter nearly all his life. The next day, his campaign said Romney had gone hunting just twice — once as a teenager in Idaho and last year with GOP donors in Georgia. That was wrong, Romney said...

INDIANAPOLIS - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is taking a second shot at describing his hunting experience. The former Massachusetts governor has called himself a lifelong hunter, yet his campaign acknowledged that he has been on just two hunting trips — one when he was 15 and the other just last year. Campaigning in Indianapolis on Thursday, Romney said he has hunted small game since his youth. "I'm not a big-game hunter. I've made that very clear," he said. "I've always been a rodent and rabbit hunter. Small varmints, if you will. I began when I was 15 or so...

A worker at a Downtown steam plant who brought a pellet rifle to work to shoot pigeons was mistaken for a sniper Wednesday afternoon, prompting police to shut down part of the city for about two hours. Richard Wills, of Dawson, Fayette County, a maintenance worker in the Pittsburgh Allegheny County Thermal building, brought the weapon to work to chase pigeons away from broken windows on the building's roof, said PACT President Robert Fazio. Someone apparently spotted him - and his rifle - when he stepped out onto the roof for a few seconds, Fazio said. At least three witnesses...
