BOSTON (CBS) – The University of Massachusetts has suspended head football coach Mark Whipple for referencing rape in his postgame comments after his team’s latest loss. The Minutemen lost to Ohio on Saturday, 58-42, on the road. Whipple was critical of officials after the game in an interview on the UMass radio broadcast. When discussing what he believed to be a missed pass interference call, Whipple said the officials “raped us.”

As you may already know, Dad has had alot of problems lately. He has early stage (T1) pancreatic Ductile adenocarcinoma (PDAC). He is having a Roux-en-y procedure tomorrow AM, followed by a "Whipple " procedure if the cancer doctors do not find any metastatic tissue. Any prayers for Jim Bryan (#4 all time Arkansas high school basketball scorer with 2,700+ points (before 3-points invented ) ) would be appreciated. Prayers also for St. Vincent's cancer surgeon team and Dr. Jones, too. Thanks!

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — It's William Whipple's turn to be recognized. The New Hampshire merchant is one of the lesser-known signers of the Declaration of Independence. This year, there are plans for Whipple and 11 others to be honored for their place in history with a small bronze plaque at their gravesites or homes, thanks to a group of descendants of the Founding Fathers. Whipple, one of three men from New Hampshire who signed the famous document — the others were Josiah Bartlett and Matthew Thornton — had no direct descendants. His only child, a boy, died as an infant...

Forget Reality TV. Reality SCANDAL is MUCH MORE interesting as we have learned with the unfolding scandal in real time of Andy Stephenson scamming the feeble-minded gullible DUmmies of at least $50,000. As we have learned there are elements of genius in Andy’s scam. For example, without actually saying he has cancer of the pancreas, he has allowed his cheerleading shills led by Pied Piper Pitt come out and flatly claim that Andy has pancreatic cancer. In fact, Andy has AT WORST pancreatis which means there was NO NEED for him to go to Johns Hopkins hospital for an...

SAN FRANCISCO – A state appeals court reinstated the second-degree murder conviction of a San Francisco attorney whose giant dogs mauled and killed a neighbor in the hallway of an apartment building here. The appeals court, in reversing a lower court judge who vacated the jury's finding against Marjorie Knoller, said Thursday that Superior Court Judge James Warren erred when he reduced the conviction to manslaughter. The 1st District Court of Appeal said Warren erroneously concluded that in order for Knoller to be convicted of murder, she had to know that one of the two giant Presa Canario dogs would...

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Fred L. Whipple, a pioneer in astronomy who proposed the "dirty snowball" theory for the substance of comets, has died. He was 97. Whipple died Monday at a Cambridge hospital, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics said Tuesday. Whipple proposed the theory in 1950, saying that comets consisted of ice with some rock mixed in, rather than sand held together by gravity, as was widely believed. Whipple's theory was an attempt to explain why some comets seemed to arrive at destinations earlier or later than predicted. Whipple believed that as a comet approached the sun, its light vaporized...
  • VA State Senator Calls Pentagon and Arlington Nat. Cemetery, Symbols of War and Death!

At a Arlington County Civic Federation debate last evening (May 6, 2003), concerning placement of a proposed MLB baseball stadium in Arlington, Virginia State Sen. Mary Margaret Whipple, D-31st called the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery symbols of war and death in the eyes of those that visit here. She said she supported the stadium because that would change that false perception and lure people here to the ballgames! To me, they are symbols of sacrifice and freedom. Simple as that. This is a disgrace. Ms. Whipple deserve a freeping and letters to the editor. Please help!
