The familiar pop that comes from opening a bottle of Yoo-hoo is one of deep nostalgia. The drink is refreshing and satisfying, but one thing is for sure: It’s not chocolate milk. So, what exactly is in a bottle of Yoo-hoo? Yoo-hoo was launched in the 1920s by Natale Olivieri, a New Jersey grocery store owner. Olivieri had already created a line of fruit juices called Tru-Fruit and felt a chocolate drink would also be appealing to his customers. Knowing that chocolate milk was a popular drink at the time, Olivieri wanted to create an alternative that would, unlike milk,...

A Pennsylvania factory worker has drowned in a 1,200-gallon vat of melted milk chocolate, swallowed up by the gooey, quicksand-like mixture. Yoni Cordon, 19, of Philadelphia, an employee of the Kargher Corp. in Hatfield Township, apparently tumbled from a platform into the 7-foot-deep vat, which is used for mixing and melting chocolate. But nobody saw the accident, and Cordon couldn't save himself. "It was like quicksand," said Jim Viscusi, assistant chief of the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of nearby Lansdale, which was first rescue unit on the scene. "We found the gentleman immersed in the vat. It was not the...

Jupiter Ahoy! Blazing along its path to Pluto, NASA's New Horizons has come within hailing distance of Jupiter. The first picture of the giant planet from the spacecraft's Long Range Reconnaissance Imager (LORRI), taken Sept. 4, 2006, is a tantalizing promise of what's to come when New Horizons flies through the Jupiter system early next year. New Horizons was still 291 million kilometers (nearly 181 million miles) away from Jupiter when LORRI took the photo. As New Horizons comes much closer, next January and February, LORRI will take more-detailed images. "These first LORRI images of Jupiter are awe-inspiring," says New...

On Monday night, filmmaker Michael Moore made his first appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" since the 2004 presidential election. As is often the case with Moore, he surprised the audience. But in this case, the surprise was the result of his new look. Moore appeared on stage wearing a suit and tie, no beard or hat and a trim haircut. When asked by Jay Leno about his appearance, Moore quipped, "I thought I should look a little sharper for my IRS audit" and "If you can't beat them, you might as well look like them." Moore told...

John McCain called Michael Moore a "disingenuous filmmaker" at the Republican National Covention. He did not know that Lard*ss was in the house. So, Lard*ss smiled, stood up, and gave the "L" for Loser sign. Today, the disingenuous filmmaker is in hiding. Have fun mocking him. He is one of the most disgusting human beings to ever be involved in the political process. Thanks to flashbunny for adding the appropriate word to the photo.
