I have a question for freepers that are into statistics or arguing for 2nd Amendment rights. This is something I should probably know already, but I was arguing with somebody about gun rights, and this person was throwing out numbers about how Australia and the individual countries Europe have a much lower violent crime rates than the US. Without pointing out the obvious on how using guns in self defense deters criminals, can anybody tell me why Europe/Australia has a lower rate of violent crime than the US? Or if this data is even correct? I'd appreciate it.

I just wanted to make a statement regarding Kerry's views on abortion. I wanted to find out what his opinion was, so I came to this website. I found article talking about how he supposidly 'opposes' abortion. Then the same author discusses how in other statements, he has said it is the woman's right. Now, he is being criticized for having contradicting statements. I just wanted to clear this up.
