I’m a Vietnam era Marine veteran and registered Republican all my adult life. My wife is not. Seriously, she actually leans left on most issues but says she would have voted for the former mayor of LA or Ueberroth in the recall rather than Davis or Bustamante. We have very spirited political discussions as you might imagine. I’m here so I can maintain my sanity and trade thoughts with other flag waving, gun owning, military supporting American patriots. My other source of sanity is my uncle who is a retired Army Colonel, 3 tours in Nam, Bronze Star and Purple Heart, who leans further right than I do! I’ll tell you up front that my activism goes as far as posting my thoughts here, other boards and the Fresno Bee’s Letters to the Editor although your last picnic certainly looked great!
