I don't think that throwing just enough money to get by to single parents is a cheritable act. it's more like giving a dime to a quadraplegic and demanding a nobel prize for doing so.

I don't think government can provide services more affordably by becoming another middle-man in the supply chain. The cost doesn't go down by adding another 1000 or more employees to the payrole.
