Hi, I am LuceLu, a conservative lady living in upstate NY, where sad to say, Hill is our senator. Heck, even our Republicans here are dressed up dems. I think the Clintons were attracted to our state because the politics here are so screwed up, the budget hasn't been passed on time in over 17 years-- stories about how things have worked here would curl your hair.

I am a nurse, I take care of cancer patients. I am married with one son in public (gasp) school. We have been adopted by two cats, Goss, who is a tease and Mardi who is an affectionate huntress.

Thanks to Drudge and his book that I found this place. I have been on a number of email lists and some Fool boards but this is really what I was looking for, an asylum for the sane. People who are interested in talking about current events and the political climate with some common sense.

I am the lone Conservative in the family, I converted on 9/11. I am slowly converting my dear husband who has just discovered his Second Amendment rights but it is an uphill battle. Not only are we native NYers, he is a union member and both of us come from Roman Catholic families.
