LUVABUL supports reasonable enforcement of non-discriminatory laws to govern the ownership of dogs.

We believe that dog owners should be responsible for their dogs.

We support laws that: establish a fair process by which specific dogs - not breeds - are identified as "dangerous" based on stated, measurable actions; impose appropriate penalties on irresponsible owners; and establish a well-defined method for dealing with dogs proven to be dangerous.

We believe, if necessary, dogs (not breeds)proven to be "dangerous" may need to be humanely destroyed

LUVABUL strongly opposes any legislation that determines a dog to be "dangerous" based on specific breeds or phenotypic classes of dogs.

We also run a small rescue effort, limited to specific breeds, as Leavenworth Animal Control does NOT give these breeds a change for a loving home. The bully breeds, or any other dog resembling these breeds, are put down no matter the temperament. We are not a shelter, we work through foster homes. Hopefully, through the help of donations we will soon be able to open a “no-kill” shelter in the area.

Our goal is to make the quality of life for man’s best friend as wonderful as possible. It is us who brought dogs into our lives, it is our job to keep them happy and healthy. The only way this is possible is through education, community wide support, and love.
