I consider myself somewhere on the political spectrum between Republican and Libertarian. I support an extremely pared down government. I have a semi-radical idea that all legislators should be part-time and have a real job like in the old days. I think career politicians are not true to their beliefs and are beholden to others.

I am a professional civil engineer and I tend to look at things very logically. I think that's why I gravitated toward conservative thought. I used to be very liberal in my college days, but I saw the light after I entered the real world. You know what Churchill said "If you are not a socialist in your twenties, you don't have a heart. If you are not a conservative in your forties, you don't have a brain." Thankfully, it didn't take me until my forties to see the light.
