On August 4th an officer of the law arrested me for failing to help him subdue a teenage car theif. I can say with all truthfullness that the officer never asked for my assistance. I was placed in a holding cell and held for about 3 hours on the charge.

This event must be addressed. It may be symptomatic of a greater problem.

About me. I am 41 years old. Recently i discharged from the Army National Guard and now hold a full time retail job in Wood River Illinois.
Also i would like to post here what i said to Jim Robinsons founders statement. For me this is meant to show how i think and feel about America and Americans more than an etched in stone opinion.

I was raised a liberal but found myself conservative in my early 20s. Liberal is not a bad word to me, if it means soemething that is noble and reasonable. What is our vision for our future in this world? Why must we send bombs when we can find solutions that don't require gun powder. And why does it seem like conservatives have no vision for creating a peacful world? Is it that Jesus is coming back so we don't need to try anything to make peace on earth a reality? What we need in the USA is to finish our beloved constitution. I think tis time we told the whole world that we truly believe all humans are created equal have have the right to believe and practice those beliefs without fear. Then of course ... we would need adopt a universal set of laws governing what types of beliefs and practices are unconstitional. Like being a modernday nazi who believes in the final solution and openly advocating it would become treason. We would have to decide wether those who do not work should eat at tax expense. We would have to clearly define abortion as murder. But all this will have to wait until gas prices get lower... But anyway, a Free Press, that is one place to start.
