Batteries work by causing chemical reactions. Chemical reactions go faster when warm, and slower when cold: that is simple thermodynamics.

In cold weather, steam engines stay warm, diesel engines stay warm, gasoline engines stay warm. Batteries get cold. Duh!

They just need solar powered heated garages to put the Telsa in.

Otherwise get 10 lba of charcoal and light it up under the car to keep it warm.
