Animal House
The National Lampoon masterpiece continues to set the bar for cinematic depictions of collegiate debauchery. See John Belushi in one of his greatest roles as a fraternity brother at the riotous Delta house, as the brothers fight a college dean who wants to see their charter revoked and their house disbanded.

It has to be Airplane! and Blazing Saddles.
I’ve seen 25 of them. Mostly in theaters! Love a good laugh. They should have included “Analyze This”. Wouldn’t see it today, because DeNiro, but laughed myself sick at the time. “School of Rock” was also very funny.
I found Arthur amusing. Gielgud’s dry delivery was great.
Also not so well known and a bit on the dark humor side was Waking Ned Devine.
All very funny!
Blame It Rio cracked me up.
I’ll throw another Mike Judge classic. Idiocracy.
It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World is the funniest film ever.
Bad Grandpa is a guilty pleasure.
Jason Statham is comedy gold - Snatch, two Crank films, and Spy.
Send the list back.
1) Airplane!
2) Blazing Saddles
3) Animal House
4) Revenge of the Nerds
5) Caddyshack
I might rearrange the order a bit, but my top 5 are the same!
Bachelor Party would come in at number 6, not seen that mentioned yet….
Some good movies on the list, but most of it is garbage.
“The Private Navy of Sgt. O’Farrell” (1968)
I haven’t seen those Bob Hope movies since...well...1968!
Where is Caddyshack ?
It’s like a prophecy of Trump.
I thought the original Porkey’s was funny. A few weeks ago saw Sixteen Candles and thought it was pretty good. I remember seeing Sixteen Candles back in the day and didn’t think much of it.
Yep.....in its time it was very funny. I also liked Cat Ballou, but that was before she became Klute and a Viet Cong sympathizer.
Bttt
Yes....any time it’s on no matter how many times I’ve watched it, I watch it again. Mainly for the young Teri Garr but also for “Frau Blucher” whinny...................(Cloris Leachman)
I’ve got that movie on dvd, but I haven’t watched it in years. Gonna have to fix that.
Kind Hearts and Coronets was very funny…..Alec GUinness…..
…….
So are THE CARD, THE LADY KILLERS, OUR MAN IN HAVANA, and THE LAVENDER HILL MOB; also all with Alec Guinness!
I gotta agree with you. That movie was pretty funny.
“The Horse’s Mouth” was a funny Alec Guinness movie. My painting teacher showed it to us. Back in the days when showing a movie meant reels of film.
Good times.
