Dixie Chicks, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon soon appearing in a rubber room next to Margot Kidder.
And people are now asking, "Who the Hell is Margot Kidder?"
As well they should!

the Yardbirds are back
with their first lp since 1967
Legendary British rock outfit the Yardbirds return this week with "Birdland," their first new studio album since 1967. The set is being released by guitarist Steve Vai's Favored Nations label. The Yardbirds, which once boasted Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton among its members, now feature original members Chris Dreja (guitar) and Jim McCarty (drums) in tandem with lead guitarist Gypie Mayo, bassist John Idan, and harmonica player Alan Glen.
The bulk of the album was recorded at Vai's Mothership studio in Los Angeles. Vai also appears on the disc as a guest on a newly recorded version of the Yardbirds' favorite "Shapes of Things." Other guitar heroes who leant a hand in the studio include former Yardbirds principal Jeff Beck, Queen's Brian May, former Guns N' Roses axeman Slash, Joe Satriani, and Jeff "Skunk" Baxter. Goo Goo Dolls frontman Johnny Rzeznik and Toto's Steve Lukather also appear.
Beyond "Shapes of Things," the new album sports renditions of previously released Yardbirds tunes "I'm Not Talking," "The Nazz Are Blue," "For Your Love," "Train Kept a Rolling," "Over, Under, Sideways, Down," "Mr. You're A Better Man Than I," and "Happenings Ten Years Time Ago." Eight new songs, including "My Blind Life," "The Mystery of Being," and "An Original Man (A Song for Keith)" round out the track list.

Toby Keith seems quite at home doing his shows in front of our troops. He sings "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" from the heart. It is partly about how his Army vet father raised him. Not just written/recorded in view of sales/charts/dollars. His sales have not been damaged.
(BTW, his guitarist was wearing a black t-shirt with "RUMSFELD" in bold white letters, at the CMT Flameworthy Awards a couple of weeks ago.)

"sorry to bring in the rain but they just went back up to #1 on the billboard charts"
I just saw on the Entertainment Weekly website that their concert tour is almost all sellouts - with a couple at 90 - 95% now & expected to be sellouts.
What's up?

What's up?Government mailed a bunch of wealth re-distribution checks to demonrats???

They have crossover appeal and their album sales are coming from their pop audience. The country sales are not close to the pop sales (thus why they can be so high on the country charts but so low on the overall chart).

I just saw on the Entertainment Weekly website that their concert tour is almost all sellouts - with a couple at 90 - 95% now & expected to be sellouts. All but a few of their concerts were sold out BEFORE Maines opened her trap.

The dixie chick's tour tickets went on sale the first of March. Most of the tour sold out in a few days. It was a few weeks later when Maines made her anti-bush comments. After that 10's of thousands of ticket holder's tried to get their money back with no luck.
The chick's are going to perform on sold out tour, to alot of empty seats.

Okay then, so it is a good thing that sales is down for the Dixie Chicks. But we should not be all about boycotting. We should also be supporting recording artists who have come out in support of our president and our troops. Darryl Worley's new album came out on Tuesday. It would be a good thing if everybody bought a copy so that it could become the number one album in the country. The single "Have You Forgotten" is already number one on the country charts and has been for the past several weeks.

Billboard.com is still showing their album at #1.
Which album chart sales numbers should be trusted?
To: hawaiian
The Chicks album currently ranks #1 on the country chart and #30 on the pop chart with no country act ranked higher.
