My guess is that the incoming administration saw what Trump was doing and knee-jerk reversed course, just like they did to so many other things Trump was doing (Keystone, border wall, etc.)
When Trump said he would bring American forces to the Mullah’s house, the Taliban leaders knew he meant it.
He had already unapologetically wiped al-Rimi and al-Baghdadi from the map.
Trump plowed over and got his way with Nato, the UN, Kim Jung-Un, most countries in South America, Mexico, Canada, Saudi Arabia, China, thumbed his nose at the middle east by moving the Israeli embassy, and threatened to blow various countries off the map.
Trump has more testosterone in his little finger than the past two Presidents had in their whole bodies...combined.
How much you want to bet some of those cretins packed up and moved once they left the negotiating table?
