What LDNR troops north of Harkov? Look at the map at once. They are operating southeast of the city.

The map linked in the video description that when zoomed in shows a pocket of Russian forces north of Kharkiv (Harkov) backed up to the Belarus border, and cut off from Russian forces to the east and southeast. That map. Until it is updated.

The Russians are withdrawing from Kharkiv, they left the soldiers of the Lugansk Republic on the border and do not want to let them into Russia.

https://twitter.com/Levi_godman (Russia supporter update this morning)

A fresh appeal to Zelensky from a volunteer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, located in the Donbass, who tells how the command sent them to slaughter.

„We won’t last for a long time - our aviation and artillery are not working, the command has thrown us...” Nobody is evacuating the killed and wounded, nobody is sending us new ammunition. We have very high casualties, please help us, don‘t let this be another Mariupol“ (video at the site)

Another appeal of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The 115th brigade is in touch.

Brief retelling:

There is no way to follow orders. The evil enemy, with the help of irresistible force, drove us out of the positions we occupied from April 19 to May 3. They were forced to flee to the rear, because the General Staff did not prepare a reserve position. We cannot perform combat missions due to low moral and psychological state. (video at the site)

From the ground they report on the results of yesterday’s attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to penetrate the positions of our troops in the Malinovka area:

Yesterday, from 09.00, the AFU tried to hit the flank of our group in the direction of Gulyaipole-Malinovka. The enemy had no tactical success. Enemy losses confirmed: 30 tanks, 11 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 armored personnel carriers, 2 Grad MLRS, irretrievable losses of the enemy - more than 300. The numbers are very serious, but nonetheless. There are losses on our side too - KIA 15, WIA - 11.

That’s right , colleagues, our military leadership is trying to stifle the Russian offensive with the number of our soldiers, but after that, real facts with the number of losses may be revealed, which, as we understand, no one even considers now, trying to hush up this issue in every possible way, distracting the population with other issues, in the form of Eurovision etc. There are so many such stories that are not told to the Ukrainian society in order to constantly keep them in some kind of illusion.

Another Troop brigade, this time the 115th, was abandoned at the front without fire support and equipped lines for retreat.

Based on these videos, a trend is emerging. The command leaves precisely the territorial defense units without fire cover. According to our information, this is happening because the General Staff does not believe in the effectiveness of the TRO units. Therefore, they only plug holes at the front with them, leaving the main striking power of artillery to cover regular troops.

Like the Orcs, the UA is poorly led.

The Ukraine Economic Minster works for the Orcs and she has created a situation that mostly ended importation of gasoline and diesel, compounding bad military leadership.

Worse, at least one competent UA commander was removed by pressure brought by local civilian politicians.

Russian forces have taken the villages of Shandryholove, Derylove, and Stavky
Battles are currently taking place for Novoselivka, Drobysheve, and Lyman
Russian forces have made big gains in the region recently.

American supplies are on fire. A major fire is reported in the vicinity of the town of Yavoriv in the Lvosk region. Presumably, the missile hit a warehouse with weapons supplied from the United States and other NATO countries.

Previously, the main base of foreign mercenaries was located in Yavoriv, which was destroyed as a result of a missile attack in early March.

#7. Are you sure that's a pro Ukrainian telegram channel? From Ukrainian Ground Forces, the 115th Territorial Defense Brigade was for the Poltava Oblast, which is southwest of Kharkiv in Ukrainian held territory. For the main Ukrainian lines in the Donbas, Ukraine is holding the line and preventing Russian advances. What that person says does not match what is on the ground.

#11. Ritter has been saying Ukraine is about to lose since the war began two and a half months ago. Right now Ukraine is counterattacking and Russia is retreating along the Belarus border. Ritter’s pronouncements are as wrong as his understanding of history.

I, like many others, consider Ritter to be one of the best, most experienced military (especially Russian) analysts. He, along with most others, have said all along that Russia will win and so far, they certainly are.

Pundits in the West keep speculating as if they have Putin’s playbook...they don’t. Russia always holds it cards close to it’s vest.

All we KNOW (rather than guess..:-) is that Russia said this was not a war; it was a special military operation with the goals of liberating the Donbass; demilitarizing and denazifying Ukraine and remaining neutral.

For this reason Russia has committed very little of it’s manpower and armor to the effort and has relied heavily on the two militia’s of the former separatists.

Russia does not fight “shock & awe” wars as we Americans do. They engage in maneuver, feints, fixing the enemy in place and grinding attrition and they are doing very well at it to date.

Ukraine has lost over 54,000 of it’s forces. Surprisingly this info comes from insider info from the Ukraine General Staff...apparently it is purchased by Rybar. Though after publishing the graph of losses (both personnel and equipment) every day for the last couple months they have not published the info since May 10. Not sure why: Could be the insider was caught; could be Rybar ran out of money...:-)

Ritter has previously stated that Russia’s losses averaged double digits per day; Ukraine’s were in the “hundreds and thousands” per day.

You are right that Ukraine has begun to counterattack. I posted the results of yesterday’s effort straight from the Russian Ministry of Denfense: “Yesterday, from 09.00, the AFU tried to hit the flank of our group in the direction of Gulyaipole-Malinovka. There are losses on our side too - KIA 15, WIA - 11.”

Now to the interesting part of this. It is apparent that things have changed in terms of Russia’s goals. After Zelensky reneged on the tentative agreement they were working on in Instanbul and insisted he would never concede any territory...(this came about after a visit from Boris Johnson pressuring him to pull back on the offer and making him a deal with unending heavy weapons and lots of money...the West wants a long term “proxy war” that will wear down Russia)...Putin re-evaluated and now intends to STAY in Ukraine taking from the Donbass all the way to a land bridge at Crimea thus blocking Ukraine’s access to the sea.

The internet is full of evidence that this is already taking place. Russian flags, new license plates, new passports, new school books, new TV programming, and or course, the ruble is replacing the previous currency in multiple cities already.

The West has sacrificed Ukraine, and by the way, they are currently working on doing the exact same thing to Taiwan...they are going to fight another “proxy war” to weaken China just as they are attempting to do to Russia. They are currently trying to find a “partner” that will allow them to install U.S. missiles directed at China. So far 5 of the potential “partners” (even Japan) have declined.

Of course, to date, the Russia proxy war has been a miserable failure, both militarily and economically. Russia is winning on all fronts...and conversely we are losing.

I doubt that you could call it reneging by Zelensky to refuse to give up territory where some of Ukraine’s best resources lie. Perhaps Johnson told him Europe will support their fight because Europe would rather have AUkraine develop its gas and oil resources to sell to Europe, instead of having to do without, or bow to a need to buy from Russia.

This is definitely a war, and Putin’s initial hope was to scare Zelensky out of the country or capture him and install a pupper government in Kiev. Between the staunch fighting of Zelensky and troops, and possibly support from Belarussian railway workers, the trip to Kiev was not working out, so now Putin has redefined his goals to a bite, rather than the whole sandwich. Reminds me about an old skit of a group of western leaders and Krushchev eating lunch together. After all the others had said what they wanted Krushchev said “I’ll have a little bit of everybody elses.” This is also Putin’s plan, a bit of Chechnia, a piece of Georgia, a chunk of Ukraine, a nibble of Finland, and on an on.

We must give the fighting Ukranians the support they need. Have we forgotten the missiles for Cuba, 90 miles from our shores? I remember sitting on a bench in DC after I got off work, just worrying whether I and the city I lived in at the time would even be there tomorrow. Putin has efforts in Venezuela, and the less busy he is in active fighting, the more busy he will be in subverting our neighbors to the south. As another FReeper said, the meat grinder is grinding on Russia’s army. Let it grind.

I am sure you mean well and that you genuinely believe your speculations on Putin’s original intentions and Zelensky’s change of heart. But, you are very misinformed.

There is a lot of objective information available on this conflict on the internet. Here is just one article by a genuine unbiased expert:

https://www.riotimesonline.com/brazil-news/modern-day-censorship/the-military-situation-in-the-ukraine-as-seen-by-an-ex-member-of-the-swiss-strategic-intelligence/

We are on the wrong side. Frankly, I wouldn’t even care about that were it not for the fact that we are foolishly engaging in self-inflicted suicide for the United States. Our circus; our monkeys, as they say.

When this is over we will be much poorer with a lower standard of living and much weaker militarily and have very little remaining global influence. The world is walking away from us. If you want a further explanation of that click on my posts...all available here on FR.

I recently was informed about another influence in Ukrainian nationalism which caused me to give that whole issue a lot of thought and write the comment reproduced below. I hope you will read it and also think about it.

“This is the first I’ve heard of Stepan Bandera so a Google search was essential. I found this link which appears to be a balanced evaluation of the influence of Bandera on Ukranian nationalism and the current international support, especially from Canada’s Ukranians.

https://heritageandmemorystudies.humanities.uva.nl/index.php/1718-2/research-projects-lviv/stepan-bandera-monument/

The first half of the 1900s was a period of tremendous dislocations and relocations as the Austro-hungarian empire imploded and as Poland which had been sliced and diced over several generations was being reconstituted. The extreme influences of the Russian Bolshevicks and the German Nazis were being tested in the Spanish Civil War, and anyone struggling to develop their own national identity was torn between these two polarizing influences. Bandera was one such figure, The extreme viciousness of these two extreme poles made more moderate rationalism almost impossible. In Spain the Bolshevicks worked hard to undermine and betray other factions like anarcho-syndicalists, and Stalin finally succeeded in having Trotsky assassinated. In Germany Hitler was systematically eliminating most of his former supporters until he was the supreme leader of the facist movement, Even Mussolini deferred to his tyranny. Ukraine was thus caught between two extremely powerful and monstruosly vicious tyrants. In the struggle for autonomy any other potential leader had an incredibly fine needle to thread. Given Stalin’s vast programs of murder against independent farmers in general and Ukranians in particular, not to mention his own military,it was not unreasonable to hope that powerful Germany might help in the struggle. Unfortunately, Hitler proved that when crossing a river a scorpion is still a scorpion, and soon revealed his total visciousness to the Ukranians. On the other hand Hitler had not starved millions of Ukranians to death.

My question is, Did Bandera or any other Ukranian activist have a reasonable course of action besides compromise with evil? It eventually killed him. On the other hand, inaction was also often suicidal. In our present time it seems Putin is clearly by far the most vicious evil, so being against his actions seems the most rational course. I hope Putin’s current supporters and apologists here at FR and elsewhere will think hard and deep about who and how to support a rational course in this difficult time. Such choices are difficult, but some choices are more evil than others.
