It started this afternoon. ALL I am getting is Latest Post style threads instead of the usual Latest Articles style.
It's making it hard to navigate.
What is wrong? I tried to come in through the front page but the cookies wouldn't let me.
Thanks

Click on the words "Free Republic" on the top left of your screen
Once to FR's hompage, click on "Latest Articles".
Once there, bookmark it.

My home page is set as FR, it normally comes up that way. But this afternoon for no reason it came up in the latest post style. I checked the control panel setting and it's ok.

I switch between threads and messages. When you exit this thread don't you see Threads / Messages at top right? If so, just click on threads.

Your refresh FIXED what ever was wrong.
When my browser opens it up this is what the url normally says. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/browse
The setting in my control pannel only says http://www.freerepublic.com
As you can tell I'm not very in the know in how computers work. I just use them.

Gail, just by making reference to urls you have demonstrated a knowledge of computers far superior to mine.

I have the same problem. When it happens, I have I have to go over and click on News/Activism to get back to the normal display. I think there's a bug somewhere.

I am a little confused by things here too. I can't navigate the same way anymore, but we will learn someday I suppose!

Yes I was logged in. I can learn to run many programs I encounter, but I'm no computer whiz.
FR is our home page, it's the only place for news. I've found some of the changes confusing but am slowly learning to use some of them.
I thought maybe the home page setting had changed and checked that and it wasn't.
Hitting REFRESH fixed the problem and now all is back to normal.
