What the hell: How stealth banking bailout reached Obama’s desk

Both the left and right sides of the blogosphere are buzzing about a bipartisan TARP-style banking bailout bill that somehow reached President Obama’s desk in the legislative rush before Congress adjourned for the midterm election break.

The sordid episode underscores everything I’ve spotlighted about the culture of corruption over the last two years — sabotage of the deliberative process, circumventing of rules, backroom deals, and contempt for the will of the people.

Yes, the Vampire Congress strikes again.

The bill is HR3808, the “Interstate Recognition of Notarizations Act of 2010,” which requires courts to accept as valid notarized letters made out of state, making it harder to challenge the authenticity of foreclosure and other legal documents. Here’s the legislative history of the bill.

No, not free money.

What this bill seeks to do is allow the bank fraudsters to get one state to loosen their notary and affidavit laws and then by this legislation, have the loose standards of one state applied to all others.

The picture that needs to be up for this bill is of two Republicans, one the author of the bill, the other of Jeff Sessions.

Just so you know I wasn’t pointing it out to you for that reason I could care less myself if people double post though I know many are testy about it but the real reason I pointed it out is because people have put lots of information in that thread already :) and I thought you and the others on our ping list would like to read it.

Just like how they got rid of the state protections from usury from credit card companies! Back in the 1970’s, I believe.

Have you seen this?:

Where was Mitch McConnell? I expect DemonRats to circumvent the law, to engage in corrupt deal making, to pervert the legislative process, and to facilitate the imminent bankruptcy of the United States. But why do we have Republicans, if not to stop the crime syndicate known as the DemonRat Party?

Republican stupidity and ignorance is no defense. Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Senate Republican leadership should have their asses handed to them over this. Time for warriors to step to the front. Jim DeMint for Majority Leader!!!
