He was a hoot on WKRP. One of the great sitcoms.
Was it “unexpected”?
@dfwgator
“The phone cops.”
Rest in peace.
Colon cancer. From complications after surgey.
Rats, I misspelled his name on searching the first time. Nevermind.
Say what you want about the 1970s, the decade did produce some of the greatest television shows and movies of all time.
I was 9 years old in 1976 and LIVED to see the Six Million Dollar Man episode every week......LOL.
I think in my mother’s basement still lies a Steve Austin action figure in a red jump suit complete with a model of a v8 engine that he can arm curl! LOL
The Doctor is not feelin’ too good today. The Doctor was a bad boy last night. The Doctor overmedicated!
As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.
Every year at Thanksgiving I have to watch that episode of WKRP, it’ funny no matter how many times you watch it.
Didn’t he say the line..
“I thought turkeys could fly.”
No, that was the older balding guy. Don’t remember the character or actor’s name.
Only time in my life I laughed that hard over a TV show...
RIP...
And, BOOGER!!!

I believe Mr. Carlson (Gordon Jump) said that line.
Dr. Fever was in the booth during the ‘event’
WKRP (the fictional station’s call letters were a pun on “W-crap”),
No Johnny just watched all the chaos from his backseat vantage point. It was the old guys showing the new rock & roll format guys that the old way was good. Mr Carlson, Herb and Les. They threw turkeys out of a helicopter for a live broadcast Thanksgiving publicity stunt
They came back to the station ravaged and beat.
Johnny just shook his head. Coffe cup in hand.
