Dent was my Congressman. Over the years of visiting DC as part of my veterans organization (www.kpva.org) I met with Dent in the early years.
But as time went on, his positions changed. It seemed to me that it was in order to get the guest calls from TV stations. I would also guess it was for inside the beltway parties.
The last few years he stopped meeting us and started sending his aides.
Once Trump became President he revealed himself for what he was - an assistant Democrat
And then he quit before his term ended. I always comment when I see his name attached to anything and I remind him first and foremost that he’s a quitter.

Some Republicans don’t get it. The Republican Party is now the party of the lower-middle and middle class. It is no longer the party of the upper class.
We win or lose depending on how well we appeal to the upper-middle class, and to upwardly mobile Hispanics and other minorities.
Trump was the first Republican to actively campaign for black votes since the Democrats disenfranchised blacks during Reconstruction. Trump brought us to a competitive position with the Hispanic vote. His larger than life personality has brought together everybody who aspires to the American Dream.
This is not your father’s Republican Party!
