Horrifying bodycam video shows the moment a Denver cop fatally shot a man pretending to lunge at her with a knife — as a young child stands in the line of fire, just feet away.
The recently released footage shows officers repeatedly yelling at Brandon Cole, 36, as he pretends to have a weapon, which later turned out to be a black marker.
The deadly confrontation was watched by Cole’s wife and son, as well as an unconnected woman and child who walk right by the female officer pointing her weapon at the suspect and yelling at him to show his hands.
“Move! Move!” the officer yells at the adult and child — who appear to freeze as Cole runs by them.
Backing up, the officer opens fire as Cole lunges at her after being tased — with the child seen standing directly behind him when his body falls to the ground.

Nice of the reporter to point out the officer’s precise shooting.
There’s a certain element among that resists all authority and always shows force against that authority. Simply following an officer’s orders means you will live to see another day.
That big jerk in Ferguson, MO who refused the officer’s orders and then lunged for his gun in his squad car is a prime example.

After just committing strong armed robbery.
What is wrong with these people?
Was this guy high? Having a mental break? What the hell.
And the media trying to play up kids were in the area... What kind of nonsense attempt to spin this situation is that?

The fact it doesn’t speaks volumes about how far we have fallen as a society.
It looked obvious that the dude was surely F-ed up on something. Kept grabbing back of pants maybe just to hold them up. They did look to be falling down. Yea Right.
All kidding aside, Lunged Towards Officer - Suicide by Cop.
She didn’t have much choice. The bad guy was at the front wheel of the small car, the officer at the rear wheel. Probably no more than 10-12 feet and quickly advancing. The biggest risk of shooting was over-penetration, which is significantly reduced with the ammo most LEO use.
