In a debate Monday night, Rep. Barbara Lee defended her previous advocacy for a $50 minimum wage.

Oh, come on, get serious.

If $50/hr is good, why not $100, or more?

Dems.

They have no idea where money comes from in a legitimate economy, and no concept of working for just rewards.

Dems.

Deceit is their middle name.

Businesses can close at $50/hr just as easily as at $20.

Only 18% of individuals make over $100K now, in jobs that presumably support that much, and they want pretty much everyone to make that and much, much more. Lunch at McDonald’s will cost what dinner at a 5-star restaurant costs now. Inflation will rival that of Weimar Germany.

Geniuses. I guess it sounds good, though, to voters who share these candidates’ IQ level.

Number 1 cause of inflation is min wage laws.
Min wage should be O.

The problem with leftists is they too often want what never was, and never will be.

They propped oepn the borders open 50 years ago and encouraged millions and millions of unskilled laborers to American shores. The average Democrat (today) is too ignorant to understand that supply and demand applies to people as well as anything else.

Minimum wage probably would be $35 or $40 an hour today, without any requirements, had they not polluted the worker rolls. I knew they had dropped the brown acid when the head of the AFL-CIO (Trumka) gave illegal migration his blessing.

Don’t be fooled, America. You’ve every right to be pissed off, just make sure the focus of your outrage is directed where it belongs. And the people to whom it belongs have spent all this time making damn sure you won’t connect the dots. In fact that’s about all they have time to do anymore, an indication they’re phony baloney parlor tricks are no longer effective.

It gets really frickin’ ugly once the rug gets pulled, when the music stops, and it won’t be too much longer by most accounts.

inflation is out of control because they printed gobs of cash while doubling the minimum wage.

now they want to triple that?

wheel barrels of cash to buy a loaf of bread.

When the Soviet Union collapsed due to Reagan’s brilliance they were of no consequence except for their potent nuclear arsenal. As our economy collapses we will be much the same.

After Regan the Bush’s both senior and junior ignored this defeated nation instead of bringing them into our fold. We had this ability and did not use it. Obama did much the same.

The USA has the ability to win wars, and then loose the peace. We do this often. Just look at the Middle East to confirm this.

No kidding.

“$127,000 for a family of four is just barely enough to get by”

Hmmm, let’s see if we can solve that problem:
Door #1. $50/hour minimum wage
Door #2. Move to a lower cost area
Door #3. Learn more and better skills to get ahead
Door #4. Take a second or third job

Which Door will you take?

This isn’t to raise anyone’s pay since we all know it equals out when a loaf of bread costs $20. It is about what money people have somehow managed to save. They want to devalue the dollar. Soon, your life savings will not be worth diddly.

I would like to see compensation for POTUS, VPOTUS, Congresscritters and federal judges fixed at a multiple of the minimum wage. Even people who hate the minimum wage will likely agree to that.

The UW makes those crazy projections all over the country.

According to them, only 15% of Americans can afford to live in America.
