That’s near my former neighborhood. We’ve been following this all afternoon.
The Rockford Chief of Police, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Police, the Mayor, AND the FBI were present.
Apparently the assailant was running into people’s homes and attacking them. I don’t know how the Postal employee died.
We are waiting on more information. The Rockford Police are not saying any more than they can right now. My wife has a high school friend who lives in that neighborhood. She and her family are safe.

We definitely need more gun laws. These poor criminals need to be released from jail without any bond until guns laws are passed that will prevent the thugs from killing again!

Seriously, prayers for those victims. I know their families are devastated.
I’m sure we will soon find out about the prior (but dropped charges) against the perp. This is not on the cops, but on the Soros DA’s and the politicians that believe evil can be massaged into not being evil.

Interesting. This is just a couple days after another (well publicized locally) fatal stabbing in Rockford. That time was somebody with psych issues manifesting.
