Doorley belligerent in traffic stop video, berating officer that she was the DA and didn't care (DA flees traffic stop, calls Chief to demand they stop)

District Attorney Sandra Doorley repeatedly ignored officer commands when stopped for speeding in Webster this week — telling them she was the DA, didn’t care about the reason for the stop and that they should leave, footage released by the Town of Webster shows.

“I am the DA of Monroe County,” she told the officer at one point in the interaction captured by the officer’s body worn camera. “...I don’t really care. You know what, if you give me a traffic ticket, that’s fine. I’m the one that prosecutes it, OK? Just go ahead and do it. Go ahead. Go ahead.”

Doorley was caught going 55 in a 35 mph zone at 6 p.m. Monday on Phillips Road in Webster. She did not immediately stop but continued to her house on Fallen Leaf Terrace roughly a mile away. The officer pursued with his lights and siren on, records show.

In a statement Thursday, she said she called Webster Police Chief Dennis Kohlmeier from her vehicle so officers would know she wasn’t a threat. In the body worn camera video, she told the officer that she "was on the phone with Dennis, telling him, why are you pulling me over?”

...

“I believe in responsibility for my actions and have no intention of using my position to receive a benefit,” Doorley wrote in a statement released Thursday. “Nobody, including your District Attorney, is above the law, including traffic laws.”

She was a Democrat and then switched parties to Republican, and it was more advantageous for her in her reelection bid.

Exactly. Even if she wasn’t the target he was trying to pull over or simply trying to respond to a call when you see flashing, red or blue lights behind you and sirens, you’re supposed to pull over to allow them to pass or they will stop behind you at which point you know you’ve been pulled over.

“I don’t really care,” she said

"I'm the DA and am in charge of charging myself, so eff you!" is basically what she said. And her attitude is pandemic amongst the government class.

This needs to change. By what mechanism, I don't really care.

She knew she was speeding...Wonder how many cars were on the road at the time. Looking at a map...I think she was hoping he’d just back off. And the route to her home was not as clse as I thought and a rather circutios route.

One item said she didn’t hear the siren as she was on a hands free phone...We can check that one easily.

I agree, she was definitely hoping she could loose him or to stop chase.

I know the area quite well. She likely turned off and wiggled her way to her home. It's a screwy route. I can see no other course than for her to resign. My guess is that he watched her make the turn...and she hoped he didn't see which branch she took to get to her road...and maybe he wouldn't even see her going right into the garage.

Alas...Wrong...and she continued on her path of self destruction...lol....Dumb DEM...
