Coming to towns all across the nation. I’m seeing more and more unknown faces in our small town and surrounding communities- and seeing a definate uptick of people wandering the streets late at night, into early morning hours- I’ve never locked my car doors overnight, but it is getting to the point where IL. Have to start doing so. Our small town life is changing rapidly, for the worse- more crime, more trash everywhere now, just more impatience and anger in stores now- heaven forbid we look the wrong way at someone these days. They fly into a rage. Never used to be like,this.
I’m seeing this in my own medium-sized town - what I’m noticing more and more is people building high fences around their properties, including on the street side - with cameras on the entry gate and neighbors leaving lots of lights on all night - they’re installing large lantern type lights on the sides of their homes in the front, driveway lights that are left on all night and lights around their fences. Our neighborhood used to be very dark, it isn’t now.
My dogs tell me there are people wandering on the streets at all hours of the night.
