It’s funny that the people in the article are talking about “cheating” being the problem, when the real problem is that she’s a deranged child-molester.
Pedophilia is definitely a mental illness as well as a felony crime. Run, don’t walk, away from this loon!

Yea. They really down played the ickyness of a grown woman making out with a 11 year old boy. The normalization of pedophilia advances apace. People are getting numb to this anathema.

It sounds as though the school doesn't have adequate youth protection procedures. It seems that she had groomed the parents, too, since they invited her to go on a trip with them.
The ex-fiance is understandably shocked, but it seems as if he and the quoted friend don’t have the vocabulary to describe the situation accurately. In many ways, our society treats pre-teen children as if they are mature sexual actors making adult-level decisions - “gay kids,” for example - and these young men seem to have an idea that the little boy was an equal participant in the “affair” rather than a victim of abuse.
It’s hard to say from just a few lines, of course. The ex-fiance is also a victim, and I don’t want to be harsh toward him.

When you think about what she would have done had they married, you are right. IF the facts are true (which maybe they are not) this is one of the best things that ever happened to him. She eventually would have gotten caught molesting a grade school kid, and he would have suffered tremendous emotional stress, as well as probably being financially wiped out. She would have sucked the life out of him like a vampire.

A friend who worked in a Child Protective unit of the local social services proffered that she did not believe that pedophiles could be rehabilitated without intense counseling and behavior modification that may include chemical castration. She said years ago that she believed that female offenders were a largely unreported segment of pedophile crimes.
I think that it was common wisdom until recently that a boy who is having sex with an older woman was just getting lucky. Until smart phones, there was no way to acquire evidence. It is apparent that some women are “minor attracted people”, the new euphemism for pedophile.
My parents did the same! It’s very true!
