I think the Millenium is a literal thing, but it does not begin until the coming of the Messiah to take us to Heaven.
I think it will be a time of rest and growth and maybe a bit like a boot camp because there will be so much we need to learn to live an eternal life.

The hour is later than most realize.
Scoffers will come here to spout their usual jargon, Peter had them nailed (2 Peter 3:3).
Other follow doctrines of demons full and are hell bent to bring many down with them on the broad road (1 Timothy 4:1)
We are to pray without ceasing and await the Glorious Hope in Christ (Titus 2:13).
Please do not delay in choosing Jesus. Click on my profile page to see how.

They can’t understand the times? Churches can’t even understand geology.
I’ve listened to Jan Markle for years. Not many Churches preach prophesy based on Scriptures.
* Postmillennial Christians play to win, filled with confidence in the Coach and the Playbook.
* Amillennial Christians really don’t expect to move the ball too far past the 50-yard line, but they love the Coach, and will play their hearts out for Him, hoping for a tie at best.
* Premillennial Christians have already conceded the game, but can’t get out of it, since it’s the only game in town. They are accustomed to letting the other team run all over them.
* Dispensational Christians add a wrinkle to the premillennial commitment to personal and corporate defeat. They huddle in their own end-zones, and eagerly chat about an anticipated helicopter ride out of the game, at which point they can sit back and watch the other team and the fans in the stadium engage in a riot.

Or, as a friend of mine shared, he was “Premillenial, of course. Because the Kingdom of God is like a mustard tree, which started off huge then shrank and shrank until it was just a seed and the whole garden was overrun with thistles. Then at the last moment, the gardener came in and plucked out the little seed and burned down the rest of the field, which had become so overwhelmed with chaff and weeds that it couldn’t possibly been any worse...”
~~~ A Parable ~~~
At the saddest sacred grove of all, the merry marchers gazed aghast upon the Fortune Tellers. One by one, each Fortune Teller scanned his tarot cards, or gazed into his crystal ball, and descried the future. “The game is rigged,” they cried out with joy. “The fight is fixed! The Master hath already deigned to take a dive! Come, join with us, come learn of us, of the coming Great Puppet Master, of his Puissant Golem, and of the steps of their foredoomed march through nations! Come, for the Sacred Popcorn hath been popped! Come, for the Special Kool-Aid hath been blended! Come, for the show is upon us! And we are called to watch, and watch and watch yet more!”
Then, to their horror, the brave marchers saw the Sacred Book dragged into the oracular circle. The seers did slice the Sacred Book into choice parts to use as tarot cards, dispensing with the rest. And the Book did smoke, and groan in agony, and rattle the chains that enslaved it to an evil task, a forbidden task, a task against its nature. And the smoke of its torment did cause a strange frenzy to more hotly enflame the Fortune Tellers, who rose higher and higher upon an ever-growing heap of envisioned futures that never happened.
And a quiet Voice at his elbow said, “Pilgrim, do you really think I will tolerate this much longer? Come, give my people hope.”
Good article, worthy of sharing and book marking.
I think we know someone who embraces the first four and rejects the latter.
I am thankful that I was never raised in any religion. And 37 years ago I was introduced to a home fellowship Bible study which wholeheartedly embraces the latter.
The first thing I was taught is to never adopt any belief that cannot be supported by Scripture:
Galatians 1:8-10
King James Version
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
I’ve been looking to meet the Lord in the air ever since.
Now more than ever.
We’re in a race Brethren, and the finish line is in sight. Don’t give up.
I can almost see Beulah land from my front porch.
Come up hither!
Philippians 3:13-15
King James Version
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
Jan Markell and Amir Tasfari speak at our church. Amir more than Jan but both are absolutely great!!
Every soul is living in the last generation. Why? Because every soul dies with his generation. Jesus will come when the Father sends Him. I believe early Christians were much more heaven focused and saw death and not the rapture as the door to heaven. Consider Christians who have laid their life down, looking beyond this temporal place to a place in heaven. 100 years is nothing. We will all leave this earth very, very soon, with or without the rapture.
If I’m a Christian who hasn’t cared about a/pre/post millennial theories for 50 years, does that mean I’m not saved? Or just that I’m far more concerned with living for Christ than in when and how He returns - particularly since He told us no one knows....
Finally, something useful out of Jan Markell. Amillennials will say that Satan was bound at the cross and then use some contorted reasoning to explain how Satan can be prowling about looking to devour per 1 Peter 5:8. Post Millennialists think the world will be “Christianized” and get better and better. I thought World War 1 and then 2 would’ve killed this silliness off (not to mention 2020 and 2021). Preterism is fixated on the many timing statements seemingly content to ignore virtually everything else. So that when Jesus warns of wars and rumors of war and nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom that gets dumbed down to Rome putting down the Jewish revolt in 70 AD.
What Jan misses is that sitting down with somebody for an hour going over Matt 24 and Rev 6 can likewise disprove her Pre-Tribulation rapture. I’ve done it.
