Best I've ever seen, too. Better than the Louvre, in my opinion. I haven't seen the Hermitage, either.

Okay okay, I've been to the Uffizi, the Louvre, but not the Hermitage either. Sheesh.....all this name dropping......should I list all the countries I visited!!! LOLOL.......

One time when I was a Marine in the Med we were in the vicinity so I took a week of leave and went to Florence primarily to see the Uffizi. There was too much to see and comprehend although I went there every day (though not, of course,all day long) and I have longed to go back there and spend more time. Hard to imagine they have more in reserve!I liked the Uffizi and Florence much better than Rome or Athens. Who can say that something is the best there is, but who wouldn't put the Uffizi right up there with the best of them anywhere and anytime.
