Well, Simon shouldn't have a problem with the abortion issue among liberal Republicans since he has already claimed that it is a "settled issue" through his campaign manager. That essentially means that he is pro-abortion, since he supports the status quo, and the status quo is pro-abortion. His problem will be not in convincing moderate Republicans to vote for him, but in convincing conservative Republicans to vote for him. He will most likely suffer a very low turnout among religious conservatives in the general election, thus dooming his candidacy. Oh, the weeping.
