What is interesting is that the PNW has more snow pack than you can imagine yet some reservoirs are not full, because of fish flush to get young fry out to see and the snow not yet melting.

In other parts of the US, there is a real serious drought that is still continuing.

Your reservoir being 50 plus feet low could be no big deal or it could be a big deal depending on if you drainage basin winter snow has melted yet or not.

Davis is either going to get re-elected or he is not.

After that huge logical statement I really should follow up. If Simon is elected he will face a monumental clean up task and, unless there is a substantial change in the legislature (which dosen't seem likely), the RATS are going to pile on Simon for not solving the problems he had promised, while voting against all legislation that would help the citizen that they...huheem.. represent. The average California RAT could give a pant load less about his/her constituents. They care about their power & the and the advancement of the socialist agenda.

Now I know this will NOT set well with Cal. FReepers, but here goes. What is so bad about Davis winning? The situation will only get worse and the socialist agenda will be exposed for all the stupidity that it really is. You can always impeach the idiot. This would be sooooo good for exposing the socialists for exactly what they are. Then of course, my Freeper brothers & sisters would have to live through that, and I couldn't bear thinking that, by wishing, I caused it. So, I am praying that Bill Simon is elected, but unless you change that dirty diaper y'all call a legislature out there, you'll still be standing on your head in the septic tank.

It's my understanding that there wasn't much snow to melt in the first place and that a warmer than usual spring has melted it all already. I asked a local in the Glen Canyon area how low they would allow Lake Powell to drop before they stopped letting water out and he said there was no limit. As long as electricity was needed and they could turn a good profit on generating it, they would let the water out.

Lake Powell is a very deep lake with some channels as deep as 500 ft.so I guess letting it drop more wouldn't harm the eco-system. My guess is they're making a ton of $$$ selling to CA.
