I'm afraid supporting the Greenies would have the effect of driving the pubbies to the left in order to pick up the 'moderates'. The perception of the 'leftwing' orientation of your state would become even more so. (if that's at all possible in Kookifornia :))

Actually every vote for Nader in 2000 on the left coast was a take away vote from Goron!

The radical green envirals only vote for the Rats because they have been told to by their green leaders. Their relationship with the Rats is a very tenious one. If they vote for a third party green candidate out here, each of their votes take away from the rat total.

It works the same way votes for PeroRat did in 1992. Most of those votes would have been for President Bush if not sucked off by PeroRat.

That is why I would love to see the greens in Kali get 15+% of the vote this November. If this election is close, a even a 5 to 10% vote for the Green will devastate Davis's total vote %.
