Just play whack-a-mole with these terrorists, okay? Put a freakin' Iraqi army guy in one of our tanks, at the turret, with our men behind him, supervising. When Al Sadr's sorry ass crawls out of the mosque, just have our guy say "Fire!"
The Iraqi guy becomes a hero to his countrymen and we're rid of one more pain in the neck.

Syria Iran Iran Syria. It's all the same. Where does Nasrallah live? I'm sure he'll tell you he's a citizen of Lebanon and Syria and Iran. It's the same side of the same coin.

well, that's good to know.

Is it possible for a Muslim to lose face? If Sadr chooses life and accepts asylum, will he lose the respect of those who really thought he was willing to die for the faith?
One thing is indisputable ... Sadr is a flip-floppin' wuss.

Exactly.
And we're not really negotiating with Syria or Iran about substantive issues, much less stuff to do with a terroist thug.
Just because it comes across an arab news ticker doesn't make it real.

I can see the Israelis taking out Iran's nuke facitities the day after the November elections. Sharon isn't going to allow this terrorist state any nuke capability. Especially if Bush loses which ain't gonna happen.

If Bush loses, all bets are off, the Israelis are not going to bet thier security on John Kerry. That I guarantee you.
If Kerry wins, Israel will attack the nuclear facilities in Iran and possibly the WMD's in Syria, damn the consequences from the UN.
Israel will protect itself, even if we won't. And with Kerry in office, we will not protect ourselves.

The next time I get a chance to respond to someone who says "We don't have an exit strategy" I'm gonna tell them "BS, first we're going east then we're going west!"

I agree this is simply something printed in the Arab press.
OTOH, MEMRI is characterized by the Islamists as a Mossad front (but then, what isn't?)
On the killing hand: Condi said last year: no more military adventures until after the election. IF all the leaks are correct and we will have confirmation of an Iraqi and an Axis of Evil nuke program next month, we will go after Syria and Iran at a time of our choosing. Whatever will be done, it will be very closely held (see Tommy Franks: "An American Soldier" for how it was done in the lead up to Iraq) and none of us know for certain who/when/where/how. I do think Israel will do their part, especially since Iran has directly threatened them.
So, let's just keep this in the back of our minds and first let's win this election for W! (and a bunch of GOP Senators) If we don't, Kerry will *re-engage* w/the mullahs AND supply them w/fissionables. Or maybe not. He is a nuancy boy, after all.
