Spinning while standing still...
Is this another article on John Kerry's campaign?

researchers at Penn State say they have found that as a solid ring spins around, part of it can remain perfectly still.

Sounds like a CV joint to me.

"Only in Quantum Physics: Spinning While Standing Still"

Nonsense! Demorats do this all the time.

Why this so amazes the scientists is this is akin to walking through walls.

In a similar way, other materials at low temperatures become superfluids, which flow without viscosity to slow them down...

"...scientists believe this will lead to such inventions as 'super beer', or beverages that can be drunk faster than their hotter counterparts..."

Went to Michigan...doubt anything from Penn State except the ice cream they make on campus (its REALLY GOOD)

But this is quantum mechanics the only place where something can "be" and not "be" mathematically at the same time... sooooo.. I'll just say... yeah... well, maybe...

Wrong: Kerry has been Spinning While Standing Still for months.

I've seen Paul Begala and Carville do it many time!

I remember hearing an Art Bell show about this a few years ago. It wasn't about the spinning while still though, it was anti-gravity...which this story confirms.

I don't remember the element that was used, but it was the same thing; a very cold ring spinning that lost mass. (I'm no scientist, just writing what I remember). Interestingly, the guy said the by stacking multiple spinning rings he could increase the anti-gravity effect accordingly.

Who knows, interesting though.

Not true! Not only in quantum physics -- cBS has been spinning and standing still for the last week and a half.
