This is undoubtedly a problem for Mayor Giuliani. It will certainly give a lot of folks pause — but the war on terror probably still overrides domestic social concerns for the average GOP primary voter.

Maybe, but I think the average GOP primary voter will support a candidate that is strong in the WOT and domestic social issues.

In other words, those supporting RINO Rudy are single-issue voters given that he is a liberal on virtually every other issue?

A conservative candidate can't fight the war on terror? Primary voters won't prefer a conservative over a liberal that will fight the war on terror?

Yeah. And it is kind of warm in hell, chilly in Antarctica, damp at 10,000 leagues under the sea, and Rosie O'donnell gets a little irritated sometimes.

Guiliani has just killed any chance he had of becoming president. Mark it down. There are many many many folks who would actively support a third party and see the GOP obliterated than support this. In fact, a BIG sector of the party's core is right there.
