We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?

Take a reading comprehension course. I only noticed all those graphics were hotlinked because of the absolute quantity, followed by the their unseemly context. I simply asked whether EV owns all of those sites out of curiosity. Nothing more, nothing less.
EV's denial that hotlinking graphics from another's website is theft was the biggest eye opener, particularly in light of the holier-than-thou religious taunts in so many of posts.
Please stop trying to divine my intentions. You haven't completed your Mind Reading 101 class yet.
And you're so concerned about the tone on FR that you decided to attack me when I show that Nauti Nurse started this food fight.
So excuse me if I take all your concern about the tone on FR with a big honkin' grain of salt.

Not alone at all. It's unfortunate that it had to come to this, because it's sad to watch people turn on their allies while struggling vainly against a frustrating, encroaching reality. I've got deep reservations about Rudy, but all things considered, he's really no more or less conservative or liberal than President Bush. Odds are pretty high the guy's going to be our next President. So what does banning and purging his supporters accomplish, other than to put FR out of touch, and make it look like we can't handle a reasonable debate?
If the only solution to dealing with Rudy supporters on FR is to simply remove a large swath of them, what's the plan for dealing with them outside? Wait for Fred to ride to the rescue? What if he doesn't? What if he rides in and loses? What happens if Fred rides along side of Rudy, and takes the VP slot? Mass suicide? Un-ban all of the lost FReepers? Ban Fred supporters?
It's all so short sighted and tragic to see a great debating forum overrun by this backslapping, high fiving mentality. Especially since it's not going to change anything except drive good FReepers away or underground, and make outsiders think we're a torch-and-pitchfork wielding mob.
You really should just knock this crap off. You basically said the issue was not the size of the images, but the content. And you never made an issue with hotlinks under 50k on your hurricane threads, so your morality here is quite situational.
The thread had mellowed out quite a bit and you decided, out of the blue, to pick a fight. And you lost the fight, and also engaged in some very lowbrow tactics in the process. So excuse me if I think your concern for the incivility of this thread is two-faced now.

I held my tongue when you came on this thread today whining all over the place about decorum, namecalling, and personal attacks, with the memory of the nasty personal attack you launched on me yesterday fresh in my mind.
As much as I wanted to point out your rank hypocrisy as you called FReepers names, I didn’t, in the interest of calming things down around here and moving on. About that time, you launched attack two.

So what possessed you, when EV caught you with a copyrighted photo on your own website, TO CHANGE THE LINKED IMAGE TO YOUR GRAPHIC PERSONALLY ATTACKING HIM? Are you so small a person that you simply can't say "yeah, you got me?"
No, you just kept up your attack. That is an indication of very low character.
Their context, as was obvious to anyone [except the antifreepers who have been whining about them ever since I posted them...and to you] was to get people's focus off of this particular battle and on to the things that are important in the larger scheme of things. That's why they were primarily patriotic, historic, and having to do with the war. Your complaint has little to do with the content of the pics, in fact, and more to do with a personal grudge you now have against me because I've used my opinion to defeat people who are your friends. I don’t know why they just can’t acknowledge what is blindingly obvious. If you start a fight on FR and get whupped, best to just admit it instead of trying to whine and explain your way out of that.
