The CEO takes out a fullpage ad in the Wall Street Journal today to thank the American Public for "investing" in Chrysler.
Lets see, is there anything more idiotic than spending more than 100k dollars on a full page ad "thanks for letting me waste your money" ad ? Does it make it worse that its a business publication where the readers might just recognize the stupidity of wasting money on ad dollars that doesn't even try to sell the product ? How does it make the next unemployed Chrysler worker feel that their entire year's salary just went for a single, ridiculous ad?......

I heard today they wanted to give the UAW something like 80% of what they owe them in stock. It was a big number and percentage. The question is who gets hosed worse, the UAW or those that pick apart the carcass of Chrysler.

Anything worse than the dreaded K car? Virtually everything built by GM over the past 30 years.

I’ve always thought the 300 was a really sharp car, although I’ve heard nothing about its reliability or resale value, though.

Yep! Except for my current 10 year old Toyota I’ve been a MOPAR guy since purchasing my slant six ‘76 Duster when I was in high school in the 80’s. A buddy had ‘68 383 Road Runner.
I was hoping that after my youngest got through college I’d treat myself to one of these new Challengers. Looks like I’ll be looking on the classic car circuit if I want something fun to drive after Congress outlaws fun cars.

Ding, ding, ding!
We have a winner!
If the American people wanted to invest, they would have bought stock.

I would take a full size U.S. car over anything that Japan has to offer. (An Avalon just isnt large enough). Go test drive one of these.

Whose bright idea was it to put black rims on cars, anyway?
If I want black rims on my car, I’ll take off the hubcaps.

......they make crappy cars? Dunno about "crappy," but I do know that every Chrysler product I've driven in the past three years (rentals) has had a truly wretched turning radius.
For example, I was driving a PT cruiser and I had to do three-point turns just to get into a standard parking spaces!
Drove a 300 this summer, and it did have some nice features -- but again, as for turning radius it was like driving an oil tanker.

2009 Dodge Challenger............ I saw one in the parking garage the other day. Jet black, it had all the lines of a classic Challenger, but with a futuristic look. Hemi inside, it just looked mean, like an old Pontiac Judge. Very cool car.
Beats the heck out of the recent Chevy Mailbu, which a reviewer gushed "just like the classic." To me it looked like a toyota whatever.

Say their cars are crap all you want. If I had enough green, I would buy a Challenger in a heartbeat.

What's the difference between an armed robber and a car company with a bailout check? The robber at least has the decency to make an escape rather than staying around to rub your nose in it.
