Of course, but the extortion happened long ago when major companies were in effect forced to locate in very marginal and unprofitable areas. Does anyone really think that after inventory shrinkage, hiring of unqualified staff, and fraud that any of these big box businesses were making any money?
They just got a “get out of jail free” card.
Now they’ve been burnt out and they won’t come back. I doubt their insurance will cover all their losses, I’m not an expert on that but for sure Homey has shot himself and his ‘’community’’ on this- again.
