WASHINGTON — Security surrounding the inauguration of Donald J. Trump is proving to be the most challenging in recent history, according to senior officials involved in its planning, largely because of the same forces of political rancor that shaped the race for the presidency.
On top of the daunting threats to any inaugural ceremony, the three dozen agencies responsible for security at the Jan. 20 festivities are preparing for the possibility of large numbers of protesters flooding the capital, along with what may be nearly a million supporters of Mr. Trump.
The agencies are worried about the possibility of confrontations between groups of Americans still deeply divided over the election — and at a moment when millions of people around the world will be turning their attention to Washington. At the very least, officials said, protests would put additional pressure on the region’s already-stretched security apparatus.
“To paraphrase Tolstoy: Each inauguration is risky, but each is risky in its own way,” said Michael Chertoff, who was secretary of homeland security under President George W. Bush and oversaw the department for President Obama’s first inauguration, in 2009.

The inauguration is generally run by the Secret Service, but there will be lots of agencies involved.
It’s the stores around Pennsylvania Avenue NW that will be hit again. Last time it was by the Red Bloc and Black Bloc Anarchists who the police didn’t properly plan for.
All kinds of communists, Marxists, socialists, progressives, liberals, black extremists and Moslem agitators will be in town. And they don’t give a damn about peaceful protest. Even the liberals have lost their marbles and will join in the “Ferguson” riots when they break out.
As for the Million Women March. I think the figure will be much lower than they propagandize. Even Farrakhan never got a “Million Man March”. I was there. Maybe 50,000 or a few more but that was it.
Now the biggest danger is if someone tells Al Sharpton that there will be an “all you can eat, free buffet”. Then there will be a stampede of ONE. Maybe Michelle will sneak in to try and get one last free meal out of DC before she moves into her new million dollar-Plus home “where the white folk live”.
Time to find my old billie club, just in case. My other friend is a Geology Pick. And maybe I’ll pack my former policeman son at my side, just to be sure.
I believe that the largest group ever on the mall was the Promise Keepers in 1997 with the Tea Party rally a close second. But I could be wrong.

There will be so many conservatives with smartphones and independent bloggers/journalists etc. in DC for this inauguration that this time any shenanigans have a good chance at backfiring on the left.
Ridiculous anti-american antics will be caught on video and will go viral. This is a great chance for social justice warriors to alienate portions of the former democrat base.

Michael Chertoff needs to be one of the first to have a date with a lamppost when it all finally hits the fan.
The man profiteered off of invading our privacy and infringing on our liberty.
Not many, I suspect, they are probably just as fed up with this closet Muslim as we are.
I’m too old and too far away but why can’t we organize a spontaneous demonstration with violent overtones to counter this George Soros funded crap. I’m not proposing an armed group with semi automatic weapons with multiple loaded clips on their person. I’m also not suggesting that most individuals in this peaceful counter demonstration have Kevlar helmets and bullet proof vests. Nothing will stop these people until they are met with realistic resistance. BTW, if this happens we will need our own reporters and videography available. We will also need good actors preferably with children to show the blood stains from the out of control demonstrators from the left. make it a good show for posterity.
