Sen. Jeff Flake just said he would vote to move Judge Brett Kavanaugh out of the Judiciary Committee and to the floor of the Senate as long as the main vote would be delayed by up to one week to allow for an FBI investigation.

The Dems want to drag out any confirmation so as to pack cause a tie on this issue.
Obviously the lower court ruled that illegal alien criminals walk free, if not taken into immediate custody. With Sanctuary States and cities fighting ICE, and refusing to hand over illegal aliens, this becomes very important.
If the Supreme Court vote is split (probably will be), the ruling of the lower court would stand, and the Dems fighting ICE and Trump will have succeeded in allowing illegal alien criminals to be immune to mandatory detention under 8 U.S.C. In other words they would go free.
Would Kavanaugh be able to be part of the ruling, if he were not seated by the time the appeal is heard by the Supreme Court?

So Flake was just bluffing with his “yes” vote at the committee. He wants to vote no in the full senate if he does not get his requested FBI investigation. Is he really the idiot he seems to be. The matter has no business in the FBI. It is a legal matter ONLY if Ms Ford wants to press charges in the state of Maryland, which she has had 30+ years to do; so she obviously had no intention of doing that. So what does Flake get? He gets the delay until after the November elections that his Dim friends want - which is 100% all of what they wanted.
Flake = traitor.
Basically, he agrees with Sen. Mazie Hirono.

I’d like to see the vote go ahead without Flake, even though it might be more fun for for a team of honest FBI agents to conduct an investigation in parallel with moving the vote forward. By the end of the day, they could interview all the named witnesses that Ford has identified.
Deliver a report tomorrow:
- No physical evidence, since the FBI has not been provided with an address or even a year for the alleged incident. Even with such an address, there would be no remaining evidence after a gap of so many decades.
- No witness statements support the allegations. All named witnesses deny any knowledge of such an event.
- No available leads to continue any investigation.
The problem is, what if the investigation went to someone in the Deep State? That would probably take even longer than the “Russia” nonsense, even if they continued finding nothing everywhere they look, just like with Mueller.
She was in her office "celebrating" with several of her influential boyfriends, maybe.

Very interesting. 10-01-2018 is the first Monday. A week goes to 10-08-2018 so he could be seated before arguments.
Still as is clear to all the game is delay, delay, delay.
Flake has always been a flake and the Dems no doubt have more arrows in their quiver. Plus we have RINOS that could go either way. Sigh.

Trump should summon Wray to the WH immediately, have him investigate Ford and get statements from others and wrap it up without any Senate interference. Give them until next Wednesday to et whatever they can, no negotiation. Then take flake and the rest behind the barn.
