OK we are way far afield and deep into a rabbit hole from the original point that was that people on the conservative side are making assumptions that the federal government under Biden/Harris would not oppose a rebellion with all the force and all the weapons they have at their disposal...that they would not take it to the limit to force red states back into compliance. Trump called McCain a loser which is a different thing in reference to '08 and, let's not be coy here, McCain is the one who was happily used to funnel the fake dossier to the FBI to make it appear legitimate. I recall Trump did take a pot-shot at his getting captured but McCain's time as POW and potential "songbird" has long been a topic among Vietnam vets.
Note that most of the farmers in blue NY are the furthest thing from blue. Also, lots of roads and bridges are easily blocked, esp. in the winter.
The biggest reason to put their food supply at risk is to get them to leave the rest of us alone. It is a deterrent with teeth. The panic that even the partially credible threat of such would cause would do more damage than actually carrying it out - at least for a few weeks.
