Former Vice President Mike Pence warned this week that if Russian forces are not repelled in Ukraine, U.S. military service members may have to step up to the fight.
"I’m convinced that if the Ukrainian military doesn’t stop and repel that Russian invasion, it’s not going to be too long before that Russian army crosses a border that our men and women in uniform are going to have to go and fight under our NATO Treaty," Mr. Pence said during a town hall-style interview with NewsNation on Wednesday. "I truly believe it. Whether that's Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, ... Poland, I don't know."
Mr. Pence, who is running for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, made those remarks in an extended response to a question about how he would end the war in Ukraine if he is elected.

I know, let’s make Mike a Front Line General, right up there with his constituents...all ten of them.
Unfortunately Pence is likely correct about this.
If you think he’s wrong Putin and his sycophants have not concealed their belief Russia is entitled to any former USSR nation.
I used to respect Pence. But this is the last straw.
As the Balkans were not worth “the dusty bones of a single Pomeranian grenadier”, so Ukraine isn’t worth a single American soldier or Marine’s death - and, let me tell you, the butcher’s bill if they get what they want is in six figures.
“Tell both sides they must negotiate.
If Ukraine will not negotiate cut off all military aid.
If Russia will not negotiate give Ukraine everything they need except our troops.
Free and fair elections in each province to determine if they want to be Ukraine or Russian.”
Russia gives back the Donbas and the land bridge, keeps the Crimea, and pays the rebuilding costs for Ukraine. That’s a moderate solution.
Yet they had a germ warfare lab in California, fentanyl still flows, cyber attacks remain unabated, Chinese warships are dominating the “South China” sea, pushing up to the very edge of Japanese waters and regularly testing Taiwan’s defenses, thousands of military aged Chinese are flowing across our southern (and now northern ) border.

No, he is completely wrong.
IF, and I do mean IF, Russia survives this war as you understand Russia today how many years before they would represent a deployable strategic force?
A decade, maybe two?
China has the manufacturing, they are the real threat.
Pence should be sent to the front lines immediately - and made to stay there until the conflict is over.
Oh, that’s right - he wants other people’s children to come home in body bags, not him or his loved ones.
Like when we installed missiles in Turkey, and they moved to install missiles in Cuba in retaliation?

I can’t read his mind anymore then you can. I’ve studied Russia off and on both professionally and as an avocation for over 30 years.
Mike Pence has displayed a woeful lack of integrity by rubber stamping the 2020 elections. He is no longer to be trusted, no matter how many times he says he “did the right thing.” He sold the American people out in the worst way.
I have a nephew turning 16. If they institute a draft, I’ll encourage him to dodge.
NO ONE in my family will fight for GloboHomo, Soros or Nazi Ukraine. No American should.

If Congress declares war I’ll not object.
But just a single politician’s whim? HELL NO.
It’s bad enough they send our hard earned dollars… if they send our children to die they’ll be putting their own families at risk. We’re that divided.
And that’s why we need declaration of war to send our kids… not just a president’s decree.
As much as I loathe Pence, technically he is not wrong. He didn’t call for US troops to join the current fight in Ukraine. He said if Russia isn’t beaten back and in their march for expansionism invade a *NATO* member country then the US as part our treaty will have to join the fight, which may involve boots on the ground.
The borders are open so they are enjoying the hospitality of their hosts.
