It’s poverty thinking that is behind it. Every poor black child that grows up to become a worldclass athlete tends to have their entourages. It’s basically a way to say, “I made it”
These female black mayors who do this are basically saying the same thing.
Think what you want, but this is community organizing at the upper levels. It is locking in the loyalty cards and spit-balling actions and/or reactions to upcoming events.
Great point. The lack of impulse control you see in videos with black women getting into slugfests at McDonald’s and Disneyworld, is visible with the black women (and men) that move up the income ladder.
