President Trump was back in a Manhattan court on Monday in Alvin Bragg’s Soviet-style ‘hush money’ lawfare trial.
The prosecutors earlier Monday rolled out their ‘star witness’ Michael Cohen, a convicted perjurer, to take the witness stand.
Cohen shocked the public when he admitted he stole tens of thousands of dollars from Trump and lied to Trump Org. CFO Allen Weisselberg.
After the prosecution rested their case, Trump’s defense team called attorney Robert Costello to the witness stand.

Merchan’s skin is too thin for a judge IMO.
“Why are you rolling your eyes at him about me? If anybody should be rolling their eyes, it’s me, at him, about YOU!”
Merchan has the authority to tell Costello to leave the courtroom, but it wasn’t necessary for him to scream at Costello.
If he does there need to be consequences for him - given how his rulings in the court have so often gone against Trump, his unconstitutional gag orders, his daughter making money off the trial, etc. To ignore the jury’s verdict after bending so far backwards to make sure that they would rule against Trump reeks of corruption.
I’m wondering if his daughter ever gives him money... like the money that Rep Goldman sent to her personal home.

This sham not being televised is a travesty. They are railroading the 45th President of the United States and we’re being told second smand third hand about what is happening. This is an outrage!

Maybe moneys pledged are contingent on a guilty verdict for Merchan, daughter, Cohen, jurors?
The judge didn’t do that.
The “judge’s’ behavior should be officially brought to the attention of the Bar Association or whatever applicable organization. For what it would be worth.

From reading that short exchange, it seems like the prosecutor is trying to “direct” Costello into giving a certain answer. I’m NO lawyer, but it seems that way to me.
I’m thinking that we are witnessing history; this sham kangaroo court has to be THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY. Merchan seems confused-he seems to think he’s still in Colombia, or wherever the hell he came from, where he could get away with this stuff.
The reality is that charge is a misdemeanor at best, not a felony like they are trying to make it to be. But that will fit right in to Trump’s strategy as running as a Martyr for the Country.
Problem is the jury is likely as biased against Trump as the judge.
I hope I’m wrong.
No a judge cannot overrule a hung jury. The only remedy is a new trial.
