(KSDK) -- A bill to ban the sale of bb guns in the city was introduced today to the St. Louis Board of Aldermen.
In June, 16-year old Torrence Mull was fatally shot by a St. Louis police officer that mistook the BB gun in Mulls waistband for a semi-automatic pistol.
Alderman Jim Shrewsbury introduced the bill hoping to prevent similar tragedies. If approved and signed by the mayor, the law would immediately go into effect.
It's too bad the city and it's DA didn't do their job. I don't
know what else that family can do, except to seek the help
of an organization that is willing to force a resolve.
We see the riots as the aftermath and denounce them, but
it's incidents like this, that inspire them. Like the poster
that screams for a revolution, that's what the blacks in many
areas of our country are screaming for. Try as they may to
find justice; equal justice under law, it's just not always provided.
It's time we all screamed for a change. Prejudice against any
group should not continue to exist.
Whatever happened to the "FREEZE" and "DROP IT" before
the decision to fire?
The cop shot the victim from his patrol car. Un-holstering,
drawing and firing takes some time when you're sitting behind
the wheel. Driving forward or backward takes less time.
The kid's going to be dead a long time.
Whozzat?
Being politically correct is worthless, you have to identify good and evil.
Molon Labe!
In your memory, have you ever heard or read of a LE officer ever NOT being justified in shooting someone?.

Next they will want to ban squirt guns.
A) In your house?
B) In your yard? or
C) Out catting around?
It makes a difference on YOUR next move.

I don't know where she was when she was shot (except I DO know she wasn't IN the house.) I was first aware of it when she came in injured and the Xrays showed the BB in the base of her tail.
She doesn't really go "catting around", she just sits on the front step and walks around the yard in the afternoons when I get home from work. She could have been in my yard or in someone elses.
I hope you are not implying that if she was catting around, she was fair game.
So what's my next move, in your opinion?
greetings from a fellow cowtown dweller!
how about those bucks?
Keep kitty in the house...
Some people hate cats, some like 'em in gravy.
