I happen to be a registered Republican in California, and it IS very easy to register. When I moved, I called the registrar's office to ask about re-registering. Oh, nothing to it. They sent me a form to fill out, sign, and send back. I asked if I needed to provide any documentation, such as proof of residency, or proof of citizenship. Oh, no, that won't be necessary.
