Army of God Marches Toward Gays

While most U.S. human rights organizations vigorously condemned Saudi Arabia's New Years Day beheading of 3 homosexuals, members of the Army of God celebrated the event. The Army of God is not just any bunch of anti-abortion malcontents. These folks are the real deal; true believers not opposed to the use of violence and closely connected to an anti-abortion terrorist underground.

Yeah! Lord knows we need more homos in the world!

Reminds me of those TV Specials on "Hate in America." You can always find five malcontents to form an organization. If you believe the media, however, it simply means "we need more laws against hate."

Gawd, another smear on the "hate-filled" Christian Right. Does anyone actually
believe this crap any more? (other than the rabid "hate-filled" atheist Left, that is)

Here is a description of the author, which you may want to use to give context to this piece.
Bill Berkowitz is a longtime observer of the conservative movement. His WorkingForChange column Conservative Watch documents the strategies, players, institutions, victories and defeats of the American Right.
Yeah. No bias there.

Christian Right groups have long targeted gays -- merging their anti-abortion politics with homophobia..
This is typical extraneous liberal B.S. The Army of God has nothing to do with Christianity obviously showing a complete disregard for the teachings of Christ. In fact, they are a lot closer to leftists on the issue of Christianity both showing obvious contempt for the Good Word.
That being said, this is indeed a creepy group. Ill be the first to criticize the homosexuals as perverts and disagree with most of their efforts to try to portray themselves as somehow normal, but thats miles away from cheering the beheading of them.

Remainds of what Fred Reed said about the KKK (paraphrasing): There are only two kinds of Klan members nowadays - gas station attendents and Federal informants. You can always spot the informants, they're the ones that pay dues.

I believe that Niel Horsley is the one who was investigated by the Secret Service for placing President Bush on his list of abortion providers. This article may be biased, but I saw the HBO film with my own eyes. These guys are nuts.

Actual conversation at a Army of God meeting:
"We need to kill all the gays"
"YEAH!!!!
"Who wants to take this bomb down to the gay bar and save America?"
Silence
"Anyone?"
"It's a really nice bomb"
"Uhh....is anyone here NOT a cop"
Silence
"Damn!!"
To: AppyPappy

LOL!!!! Appy, if you know the area up around Andrews, you don't know how true that statement is. I'm truly suprised the FBI hasn't run up on some moonshine stills and marijuana fields. They started the pot fields probably in the mid 70s/early 80s. Every year like clockwork the DEA and SBI fly choppers all summer long right above the treetops looking for fields that aren't supposed to be there. My grandfather is from up around Murphy and woooo-boy, talk about scary. I'm family and I'm not even sure I'd go up in those woods without him in front of me

I am a conservative Christian that doesn't support or encourage homosexuality, not because of personal beliefs, but because the Bible instructs us to do so. But the Bible also has scripture about the "wheat and the tares," which directs us believers to leave others alone, that G-d will take care of both believers and non-believers in His own good time. Any organization that advocates violence, (and atheists, we Christians do NOT advocate, NOR ENCOURAGE violence), especially in the name of G-d, is totally wrong and in error.....

The Army of God is not just any bunch of anti-abortion malcontents. Sorry for the ignorance but is The Army of God reference to a real organization or just more leftist demonization for those who think PeePee (People for Perversion) and baby killers practice wrong behavior?

I would just like to say that I am a Christian who does not believe in violence, and I don't think that homosexuality is "sinful" or whatever. I think that these "Christians" make us all look bad, but I try to accept people and love them how they are. I don't believe that homosexuality is a sin, because anyone can read the bible and translate what it means to support their beliefs. There may be some that are perverted, but that doesn't mean they're ALL like that. I am friends with several homosexuals that are nicer than many straight guys I've met, so please don't make "homo" jokes and such. It's just a way of life, and these people didn't deserve to die because of their sexuality.

I'm not sure how anyone can read the Bible and then say that homosexuality is okay, acceptable, not a problem with the Almighty. Heck, the first chapter of Romans alone condemns that, along with other sins, saying at one point that "those who practice these things are worthy of death." Maybe you can read something else into that, but it takes a lot of reaching to do so. The fact is, you accept homosexuality because you want to accept it. But most read the Bible, which is not written in some sort of "code," and come away with the same instruction that I have, which is to resist all forms of evil. That doesn't mean killing them, but it does mean "resistance." I'm truly regret it that you really can't see that. If you know so many homos, you might be the only Christian they know, and if you do not let them know that G-d forbids their lifestyle and wants them to accept Jesus as their personal savior, then you have failed to give them the central message that all believers are entrusted with.....
