There are estimated to be between 200 and 600 private Islamic day schools in the U.S., with up to 30,000 students in attendance. They use textbooks imported from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. One in use at the Islamic Saudi Academy in suburban Virginia instructs readers that a sure sign of the Day of Judgment will be that Muslims will fight and kill Jews, who will hide behind trees that say: "Oh Muslim, Oh servant of God, there is a Jew hiding behind me. Come here and kill him."

"The Day of Resurrection will not arrive until the Moslems make war against the Jews and kill them, and until a Jew hiding behind a rock and tree, and the rock and tree will say: 'Oh Moslem, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!'" (Sahih Bukhari 004.52.176)

God Himself couldn't have said it any clearer. Even if all the dead in Hell were to be risen from the grave and given 24 hours to persuade peace among the Arabs...they could not. Neither could Gabriel, Michael, or Jesus Himself. These people REJECT righteousness. They REJECT love, courage, humility and honor. They REJECT sanity.

Probably lots of non-Arab Muslims don't hate the Jews, either. Yet it's hard to avoid the impression, from reading the MEMRI translations, from looking at the kinds of things taught in schools all over the Middle East (and in Islamic schools here in the U.S.A. — see below), from

It's funny. But there were some Arab Islamics, or Islamics on this site taking shots at MEMRI for their excellent service. The recent translation from the Saudi controlled press noted above was an example. Here the apologists for denial and whitewash on FR tried to state several things about the MEMRI translation and source. All the accusations were proven false on this web site. That's why FR is such a great source. This kind of Arab Islamic garbage gets a regular outing here on FR.

The problem of the Middle East is not the settlements. It is not this piece of land or that piece. It is not the Golan Heights or East Jerusalem or Temple Mount. It is not oil, or land, or water, or history, or geography, or metaphysics. The problem is in plain sight. You know what the problem is, and so do I. The problem is that the Middle East hates the Jews.

Islam is a progression. They don't see themselves as regressing, territorially. Hence, when "formerly Muslim" lands are no longer Muslim, they must be reconquered. Rest assured, if Israel were to no longer exist, lustful eyes would be directed toward Spain and Vienna.

Is there anything we can do about it?

That's the problem. There's nothing we can do about it, except to take their ability to kill Jews en masse away.

The only way for this to change is for the change to come internally. Islam needs to reform.

We know it can. Turkey is a modern democratic state where Islam has about the same influence as Christianity has in America. The state is secular and the religion is relatively benign.

But until the rest of the Arab world follows suit, all we can do is kill their terrorists and point guns at the rest of them in self-defense.
