If I had the money,I'd start my own country. I could call it the Republic of Free People - or Freeper Island. :)

The Australian government has sovereign rights over the island. In what way could it be considered a country for sale?

I don't think Austrailia would allow you to declare independance like that!
Being Austrailia has some of the largest taxes in the world due to it's 45% welfare roles, wonder if you would end up with a yearly $1,000,000 tax there? Plus, that part of the world has the most dangerous things in the world living there. Most bites can kill you and if you scratch yourself on a reef, there might be a 40% chance you will get an organism in the blood that would kill you. Then of course there are the sharks!
Maybe you could make this a mother-in-law getaway vacation spot for the unhappily married! LOL

I could call it... Freeper Island.
Sure sure, sounds great. But then, the biting, the screaming, the running...lol
I love the idea. I'm due for a 'land-mass' increase, it's one of them 'manifest destiny'-things I figure.

Hmmm...80,000 registered Freepers at $15 a piece. We can do this. :-) Somebody would have to kick in Murry Mom's $15...she can't come. I'm sorry.

Anyone Want to Start Their Own Country? Yeah, I want to start my own country, right here in the USA, based simply upon the Constitution.
